About Dumpster Diver the musical
Dumpster Diver the musical tells the story of two friends, Faith, a free spirit, and Trevor who believes in playing by the rules. After graduating college, they head their separate ways, then re-meet 4 years later. At this point, Faith is an activist, traveling with the Dumpster Liberation Front (DLF), and Trevor is a successful software engineer at Angelwire, a well known, yet controversial technology firm.
When Faith tells Trevor that the company he’s working for has evil intentions, Trevor dismisses her story, accusing her of being jealous of his success, telling her he’ll prove her wrong. After Trevor investigates, he discovers Faith is telling the truth. When Faith tells him to join the DLF and expose Angelwire, Trevor has to decide whether to live a life of comfort, or go with her and tell the truth, at great risk to himself.
He joins them as they travel to Nevada to expose the facts about Angelwire on an underground radio/tv station. On the way, Faith is confronted by his friends and co-workers at Angelwire. When they ask him why he dumpster dives, he sings “i feel aliver”.
What if everything you had believed in was based on a lie? What if the company you were working for had evil intentions that they advertised as necessary for security? What if you were given the opportunity to expose the truth?
